PROJECT

We participated in the design competition for the new Museum of Architecture and Design in Helsinki, Finland. The competition invites innovative designs for a globally unique museum that will redefine Helsinki as a hub for architecture, design, arts, and culture. Located near the historic harbor, the museum will feature groundbreaking exhibitions and forward-thinking programs.

The new Architecture Museum in Helsinki is designed as a sculpted landform, seamlessly blending with the city’s landscape while symbolizing resilience. Its street-facing façade reflects the rhythm of the city, making the museum a vibrant cultural landmark. Designed in a way to invite everybody, it appeals to a broad audience and serves as a central gathering place. Functioning as a terrace to the sea, it is envisioned as an accessible meeting point for the entire population, open at all hours.

Inside, the museum offers flexible spaces for exhibitions, workshops, and community events. Transparency invites the public to engage with creative processes. Sustainable materials such as timber and energy-efficient systems minimize environmental impact. The museum promotes social sustainability by providing a dynamic space for discovery, creativity, and community interaction—featuring a panoramic restaurant that connects architecture, nature, and people.
